Explosive Band Exercises For A Better Golf Swing
Resistance bands are training tools our Tampa personal trainers utilize frequently at our facility. Resistance bands help our clients increase rotational power, core stability, balance, coordination, and more. You’d find a ton of resistance bands at our South Tampa studio because they are beneficial to all our clients regardless of fitness level. Individuals in our South Tampa golf fitness program use them often to help lower their handicap and increase driving distance.
Several aspects of our golfers’ fitness that we focus on in our South Tampa golf fitness program are power production, coordination, core control, and unilateral training. There are numerous resistance bands exercises you can do that can improve these fitness components. The following video highlights three specific Resistance bands exercises that golfers should do to improve their game.
Resistance Band Split Plyo Jumps with Single arm press
Setup in a split stance with the left foot back, right hand holding the resistance band tight to the armpit, and back towards the attachment point. Execute a split plyo jump while simultaneously pressing the resistance band. Perform another split plyo jump to return to starting position. Perform 5-10 reps on each side.
Resistance Band Split Plyo Jumps with Single arm row
Setup in a split stance with the left foot back, right hand holding the resistance band, and chest facing the attachment point. Perform a split plyo jump while simultaneously rowing the resistance band. Return to starting position by performing another split plyo jump. Perform 5-10 reps on each side.
Resistance Band 180 Jumps with Single arm press
